The Opportunity
Are you a high-performing Chartered Accountant with a passion for numbers and a strategic mindset? We’re looking for a Financial Modeling Analyst to join our dynamic team at Verve Advisory. This isn’t just a reporting role — it’s an opportunity to build the “financial engines” that drive critical business decisions. You’ll work directly with leadership to transform raw data into powerful strategic insights.
If you’re the kind of person who opens a P&L and immediately starts asking questions, keep reading.
Qualification: CA & CFA (Level 2/3 cleared)
Experience: 1–2 Years
What You’ll Actually Do
- Build things that matter. You’ll own financial models end-to-end — forecasting, valuation, budgeting, scenario analysis. These aren’t academic exercises; clients make real decisions based on your work.
- Find what others miss. Dig into historical data, dashboards, and metrics to surface trends, flag anomalies, and identify data gaps. The goal isn’t just reporting — it’s insight.
- Own client relationships. You’ll work directly with overseas clients, vendors, and stakeholders — managing relationships and delivering exceptional service, not just sending reports into a void.
- Automate the boring stuff. We’re big on AI tools and process automation in finance. If a task can be automated, we want you to build the solution — dashboards, reports, visualization tools.
- Present with impact. Conduct financial statement analysis (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) and present your findings in a clear, concise, and strategic manner to leadership teams.
What We’re Looking For
The basics:
- Strong command of Excel and Google Sheets — you should be able to build models, not just use templates
- Comfortable working with large datasets and turning them into something actionable
- Understanding of financial statements, ratios, and key financial metrics
The stuff that actually matters:
- You think “why” before “how”
- You can explain a complex financial concept to someone without a finance background
- You’re self-driven — you don’t wait to be told what to do next
- Strong English communication (written and spoken)
How We Work
- Remote-first. We operate as a virtual office — collaborative, connected, and flexible. Daily work happens over Zoom with the team (cameras on, because we like actually knowing each other).
- Overseas client hours. Since our clients are spread across international time zones, your working hours will align with theirs. This means evening/night shifts, sometimes extending to 2 AM IST. We’re upfront about this — it’s not for everyone, but if you’re a night owl who does their best thinking after sunset, it’s a great fit.
- 5-day work week. Weekends are yours.
- Some travel. Expect around 30–35 days of travel per year- workations, team meetups, and client visits.
What You’ll Need to Get Started
- A reliable laptop and a solid internet connection.
- A professional home-office setup suitable for video collaboration.
Why Verve Advisory?
We run on three principles — our VIP culture:
★ Value Addition. Every project, every model, every client interaction is designed to add real, measurable value. You won’t do busywork here. If it doesn’t move the needle, we don’t do it.
★ Innovation. We don’t settle for “that’s how it’s always been done.” From AI-powered automation to modern financial tools, we’re constantly rethinking how finance gets done and you’ll be part of building that.
★ Passion. We’re a team that genuinely cares about the craft of finance. If you light up when a model finally clicks, when an anomaly reveals a story, or when a client says “this changed how we think”- you’ll fit right in.
What’s In It for You
- Overseas exposure — work directly with international clients from day one, not after five years of “earning it”
- AI and automation — hands-on experience with modern tools that most firms are still reading articles about
- Real learning — practical, fast-paced work that goes way beyond what any textbook or coaching class covers
- Flexibility — remote work, periodic workations, and a team that values output over attendance
- Fun and collaborative culture — we take our work seriously, not ourselves
This is not for someone looking for a routine. We’re looking for someone who shows up —with questions, with ideas, and with something to prove.
